Arilas is on the other side of the headland from Agios Stefanos (West). It is a favourite place for couples and families looking for a quiet beach holiday. The beach itself is a narrow, 200 metre strip of sand with some shingle, separated from pebbly Afionas Beach by a small stream. It is framed by picturesque headlands. There are limited water sports on offer and it can be rough when a west wind blows. There are some small hotels and self-catering apartments. Many of the apartments are spread along the pleasant valley leading inland. There are a couple of tavernas.
